Situated downstairs from our main bar, the new Poet room offers sole use space for those of you requiring a private entertainment area or function facility of your own. Late licences considered.
We also have party packages available depending on which night you book and how many people in your group. A complimentary champagne reception can be arranged for parties of 15 people or more.
After the huge success of our last event held in July, we're just finalising plans to bring back the girls who brought you Portobelo Parties clothing and accessories. Showcasing their Autumn/Winter 2010 collections, the next pop-up boutique will again take place in our basement room in October, with unique, carefully selected pieces conveniently gathered together for you to browse at your leisure.... Malaysian Curry Event
Due to the last event being so well received, and all tables booked out in advance in record time, we thought we'd let you know that another one day curry event is in now being planned. Malaysian chefs will again visit The Poet and offer a spectacular array of beautifully cooked dishes for you to sample. We do advise that you join our mailing list to be notified when the next date is confirmed, as again we will allocate on a first come first served basis.
Private Hire Available Including Weekends
Private Hire - The Poet Bar can reserve you space for up to 135 people FREE OF CHARGE, with late licence considered.
The entire venue can also be hired for weekend functions including birthdays, wedding receptions, anniversary celebrations or any large gatherings of 35 people or more - and kids are welcome too! Menus can be tailored to suit your requirements for either a lunch or buffet.
